The KiwiPower Group draws on the expertise of its founding members whose backgrounds range from scientific research areas to expertise in local economic development, local and central government policy development, infrastructure and project management, multi-cultural relations, spirituality, psychology, global and local finances, risk assessment, renewable energies, and district planning.

Photo of Leah McBey The KiwiPower Group founder is Leah A McBey, a graduate of Otago University. She is an international speaker and consultant who has chaired the Finance & Strategy Committee for 8 years. Her expertise and interests range from healthy housing, water quality and allocation, energy security, climate change and renewable energies to complementary currencies, local economic and employment sustainability, micro-credit, green business and zero waste.
Leah is an author and editor. She is a member of Germany’s Gaia University Advisory Board and the founder of New Zealand’s most successful women’s micro-credit lending scheme. She is the author of “The Planet's Business Goes Green”,  and “Leah McBey’s Town Plan for Dunedin" and is a member of the ANZSES and ISES & the NZ Writers Guild.
